The Gasser Crew
The Gasser Crew are far from the typical 'team' slotted together based on racing stats or social media impressions. The crew consists of close mates who vibe together on riding bikes and having fun in the most authentic (and more-often rowdy) form.
Each rider has joined the crew in their own unuiqe way and have their own story to go with it. With an outragously noticable array of personalities, each and every rider are responsible for creating the brand what it is today. The one thing everyone shares in common? The underlying mentality of havin fun on bikes without giving a f*ck.

BILLY HOYES
Considering I'm the person writing this right now, makes it pretty hard to give myself a bio haha.
As much as I've loved riding bikes, I've always loved brands. Growing up riding BMX, I was always super keen on BMX brands and what they stood for. Reading magazines like RIDEUK had a big impact on me when I'd see these awesome company's creating video parts, clothing, designs and parts yet being super authentic. It had more of an impact on me that I thought and that I'd find later in life.
As I got older the BMX scene was dying, my boss at a local bike shop I worked at was keen to get me on a MTB and to be honest, I actually thought it was pretty lame. But I had no idea about the MTB scene, I was only 14 haha.
He hooked me up with a Diamondback Myers 2.0 Hardtail. I actually thought this bike was sick as f*ck. I didn't really know how to ride MTB compared to BMX so I just rode it like a BMX but at the local trails, which was nice because I was in the woods now and not a skatepark. At the time, nobody really seemed to be mixing the BMX and MTB thing together. Jibbing didn't exist and you wouldn't see someone without two brakes unless one was broken.
This is crazy to think about, as the talent that comes out now from younger riders throwing truck drivers and tail whips on big rigs is insane!
I started Gasser over 8 years ago with no intent other than sharing the authentic and fun side of Mountain Biking. The name 'Gasser' was actually the name of the bike I was riding for my first sponsor BTR Fabrications. I created a Youtube channel named Gasser Diaries to promote content of the bike out in Whistler when myself and Keeley moved out there for a year when we were 19.
To be honest, I didn't use the channel to promote the bike much, instead I just started to film the funny antics we'd get up to on bikes and more often, off them. That's really where it started to form into the brand it's become.
Flash forward a few years, I started to have a vision for a crew in Moutain-Biking that didn't comply with the standard race teams or generic 'sponsored riders'. I wanted a solid group of riders with the same style, vision and values as each other that could cause havok both on and off the trails.
What came to be, was so much more than that.
DUNCAN HOWLETT
The Bolehills Jam of 2021, a fresh-faced 15 year old kid from York borrowing his mums Mountain-Bike approached myself and Keeley explaining how stoked he was on meeting us. He continued to train us into a jump, crashing head first and sliding 50 meters before jumping up with excitement as if nothing had happened, stealing Keeleys beer shortly after and necking it.
This was the first time we met Duncan Howlett.
Duncan is a force of nature on two wheels. From watching Gasser Videos in the early days young Dunc started to develop a BMX Style on big wheels without even riding the small. From early on, Duncan earned the nickname 'Slam Dunk' as he started to join on Gasser trips full send crashing and throwing himself into the ground as he would try any tick under the sun if you told him to. Imagine if Gasser had a child... That would be Duncan Howlett.
As Duncan grew up, his raw riding attitude developed style as he formed into of of the best 'jib style' riders coming out of the UK today. He joined the crew a couple years after we first met him at that Bolehills Jam, and continues to cause havok on two wheels at every opportunity.
CLAY GIBSON
At a Gasser photoshoot in Buxton to shoot for a new winter range we were dropping, a young kid from Leeds tagged along. Creative, planted and polite as they come, this kid was Clay Gibson. Clay was 15 at the time when he joined the crew, the youngest rider to have joined us. Clay was just one of those kids it wasn't hard to see potential in as a rider, but his mentality and stoke on two wheels no matter the reason or why was where he fitted right in.
Clay has a bunch of style, tricks and a super fast progression up his sleeve. He is one of the nicest guys you'll ever meet and humble to the ground. He just wants to get better at riding for no reason than his own.
ASH COTTERELL
Ash has been slaying two wheels since before Gasser was even born. I first saw Ash at a local Jam back in 2018 and he wasn't hard to miss with his motocross style tearing up any trail in-front of him. He has always had big stoke on whatever he rode and he's always been a legend in MTB.
When Gasser started to develop a crew, Ash was one of the first go-to riders who I approached to be a part of it as he was not only insanely good at bikes but a genuine down to earth dude who just does sh*t because he loves it. They're hard to come by.
When I say Ash rips two wheels, I mean it. You'll see him float his E-Bike down Vision Line at Revs the same way he would his short travel trail bike. He has insane control from Motocross to MTB and he'll even throw a barspin if you ask him nicely.
CONRAD ROBINSON
After a 10 hour drive from the north of Scotland, Conrad arrived at our first ever crew shoot in Nottingham with his girlfriend Sophie. He didn't really know any of us and we didn't really know him. That's a crazy thing to think about now as he felt like a brother to every rider after that first day of riding together.
Conrad has it in his name. RAD on a bike and RAD as a dude. He breathes authenticity on and off two wheels, what you see is what you get and he fitted into the crew like a hotdog in a bun. We devote an annual crew trip to Scotland each year to hit up his local 'Wormit' in Dundee and these trips make memories.
Conrad has since helped form the 'Gasser Diaries Scotland crew' with a bunch of his boys ripping and creating content in the north.
AARON NICHOLLS
Put Birmingham into a cooking pot with a sh*t load of style and a bike. You've just created Aaron Nicholls.
A laid back, low-key dude tuned up in a Van with Ash to a crew ride a couple years ago. He smoked a joint, ripped every trail with steeze and went home. I don't think I even spoke to him much on that day, but I knew he needed to come ride with us again.
Aaron joined the crew with his own style already set in place and has helped shaped the brand in every way since. From sweating it out printing, bringing a big vibe to crew trips, smashing out content, to becoming everyones favourite Brummie. Aaron is one of the best dudes I've had the pleasure to meet.
RUEBEN BAILEY
The first time I met Rueben, I felt like I'd not only known him for years, but that he'd been part of our crew since the start.
We're at Moot Brewery, filming content and sampling out our custom Gasser IPA that we were doing as part of a collab that year. A friend of Dudleys named 'Scoob' turns up. He gets out his van, builds a ramp, flips it 3 times, gets a face full of mulch and drinks a beer.
Scoob probably had the fastest welcome into the crew we ever gave. He genuinely just fit in, just like that, no questions to asked. Since then Scoob has brought an insane vibe on every trip and event we have done. He's a king on the decks and provides the tunes for every session.
Scoob also does 60th birthday party events, just incase you needed to know that.
TOM OWENS
Ever seen that dude with a crazy mullet riding up a tree on your social media? That would be Tom.
I noticed Tom a few years ago, a young kid who had an insane jib style throwing footjam whips on his trail bike with two brakes down at his local in Southampton. Tom is a super simple dude who lives his life riding his bike and drinking pints of milk like it's monster energy. I don't think I've ever actually seen Tom eat anything, I think he genuinely lives off Milk and Jibs.
Super down to earth, insane on a bike and a pleasure to have him in the crew and join every trip and event.
DUDLEY LAING
The man who needs no Introduction, but we'll give him one anyway.
Boardmasters Festival 2022, a polite young lad turns up at the Gasser Stall keen to talk to us about bikes, girls and Landrovers. I loved Duds the moment I met him. A super well spoken, well mannered young lad telling me stories that were most likely too crude to write in this introduction. The best thing, he hasn't changed one bit.
One thing I've never told Duds, is that I knew I wanted him to be involved with Gasser since the moment I met him. He had a reckless 'no f*cks given' style yet remaining the kind of guy you'd be stoked yet mortified your daughters brought him home as a new boyfriend, both at the same time.
It happened by chance that Dudley reached out to me asking to be involved with the crew a few years later. I replied in less than 30 seconds, hooked him up with a bunch of clothing and gave him an official invite into every ride, trip and event we ever did moving forward. A decision I've never looked back on since.
Since then Dudley hasn't just joined Gasser, he's taken it over. We've linked his 'Rover Audio' set up into the brand which consists of his 25+ year old Landrover with a sound system strapped to the roof for raves, parties, jams and even mixes on SoundCloud with the Crew spitting bars on trips. Fellow crew member Scoobs provides the decks, and Harry (HR DEPARTMENT) mixes.
Dudley slays dirt jumps. He hadn't actually ridden trail bikes before. So we got him hooked up with a Banshee Trail Bike put together by myself and Duncan and I can definitely say that I haven't ever seen someone go from riding a DJ bike all their life to jumping on a full suspension MTB and hitting vision line whilst throwing candy bars on their first ride...
The one thing I can say about Dudley, if you try and tame him... You'll be wasting your time.
Welcome to Gassers biggest liability, but the greatest asset.
GEORGE KEELEY
If you've ever watched any Youtube videos from our early days, you would know who this man is.
Keeley is the man where it all started. A best mate long before this brand was born, it was at a pub in Derbyshire in 2017 after many ales were consumed where we both started to throw around the idea of filming ourselves going out on bikes and the funny sh*t that came along with it. I think that night is where you could officially say the brand was born. The next day I picked up a hungover Keeley and we started to film our antics on bikes that continued over the next few years.
Keeley was just f*ckin funny on camera, so that basically dictated the style of the brand that hasn't changed since. He's almost shaped not only the brand image, but the likes of Duncan and other riders to follow in his ways while they were watching him at home wondering who this guy was and why he was on their screen all the time.
Keeley has remained the godfather of Gasser, any event or trip we get to do together to this day is a pivillage and brings me back to the early days of when it was just us two being stupid and riding bikes.
We reminisce about this all the time, as it's always funny thinking about how far the brand has come when we didn't really expect it to be much more than us sinking beers in Bakewell woods whilst building trails listening to Big L on a portable speaker.
HARRY ROBERTS
Harry has been on the scene for some time. That stylish kid you see on Insta with a different kind of flow, you know him.
The famous Gasser rave at Malverns Classic, just after they closed the event for the night riders started bundling into our Gasser stall after hearing about a 'secret rave' that had started to form inside the tent after our crew decided this would be a good idea to host. I wasn't even there at the start, I tuned up to my stall to see lights and tunes pumping out and the sides starting to form human-like shapes. I head in to see Harry behind the counter with his decks and speakers pumping out tunes for the sea of people vibing.
Harry jumps off the decks and heads over to me to big up the event that I didn't know was happening until 10 seconds ago. This was the first time I actually met Harry in person, and he was sound as f*ck.
I invited Harry to head with us to Moot Brewery to film content for a new Gasser beer we were releasing with those guys, it ended up with him playing the decks on top of the mezene inside the brewery till 3am.
Harry suprised me with how quickly he became a solid mate, he's a guy that you meet for the first time and it feels like you went to school with the dude. The nicest guy, funny as owt and INSANE on two wheels.
Super hyped to have this guy with us.
JONNY SCOTT
When I say this is one of the nicest guys you'll ever meet, I mean it.
Jonny was a fan of the brand before I first met him, he drove down from his hometown in Newcastle to help us build the Gasser Line at Farmer Johns Bikepark in 2022. He tuned up with a box of Brewdogs on one arm and a box of Monster Energy in the other, he drank both boxes in the same sitting... I liked this dude.
Jonny has since helped out with events and brought the vibe on any trip he's attended. He's as down to earth as humans come in this world. He's one of Gassers greatest assets and every riders best mate. If you want to know anything about bikes, parts or set up, he's your guy.
